Backstory: Ainsley Quinn Tan Zobel Yu is the youngest child of Alejandro Zobel III and Meng Yao Tan-Zobel, both well known personalities in the business and art industry. Ainsley’s father is the chairman of the Zobel Group of Companies and the head of De La Salle Zobel (which is a prestigious university in the Philippines) while her mother is an avid art collector who also happens to be an artist herself. As the youngest daughter, Ainsley didn’t feel any pressure from her parents nor was spoiled rotten as portrayed in stereotypes. But rather, she grew up in a loving household that upholds the virtues of care, respect, and appreciation—heavy family values of honor influenced by their Chinese culture.When Ainsley was 6 years old, their parents became too busy with their businesses abroad and only had the time to take one child with them, their eldest. To make sure that Ainsley was still taken good care of, she was entrusted to a close family friend of theirs.
